Institute of Chemical Technology is an educational institution of national importance functional under the Central Government for imparting excellent education in the field of Chemicals.
Importance:
Started in the year 1933 under the University of Mumbai, it obtained Deemed University status in the year 2008.
Highly noteworthy fact is that ICT has been ranked among the top 10 engineering institutes in the country.
While the main campus operates in Mumbai, there are branch campuses in Bhubaneswar and Jalna.
Qualifications: Must have passed with 60 % in any Bachelor Degree in Engineering / Technology / Science from recognized University or College. However, 55% is enough for SC and ST students.
Admission Mode: Admissions are based on score obtained in GATE or Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT).
Research Program: The institute offers research programs in all most all the sub-divisions of Chemistry, Civil, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical and Science disciplines. Apart from these, it also offers Post Graduate Diploma in Chemical Technology Management.
