Chennai: The application schedule for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) has been revised, the IIT Madras, which is conducting the examination, said.

GATE qualification is required for admission to postgraduate engineering programmes at premier centrally funded institutions, including the IITs and NITs, across the country.

IIT Madras will conduct GATE 2027 on February 6, 7, 13, 14, 20 and 21 next year.

The application process, which was earlier scheduled to begin on August 14 and continue till September 21, has now been rescheduled.

Candidates can apply for GATE 2027 from August 27 to September 27. Applications can also be submitted with a late fee till October 5, IIT Madras said.
